Trading
Society
A society for anyone at UCL who wants to know how markets really work. Four research desks covering equities, commodities, fixed income and FX, plus workshops, competitions, and speakers who do this professionally.
// 001 / Overview
What We Do
Four things we're building the society around.
Open To Everyone
Trading has a reputation for being closed off. We want the opposite here, so everything we run is open to any student, whatever you study and whether or not you've traded before.
Industry Events
Office visits, talks and panels with people who work in the industry, so you see how firms and desks actually operate rather than how a textbook says they do.
Competitions
Simulated markets where you put your ideas up against other members. It's the quickest way to find out what you actually understand.
Skills And Applications
Workshops on the technical side, then help with applications and interviews when you start going for trading and finance roles.

Speaker Panels & Career Talks
People from trading desks, funds and market-making firms talking about how the job really works.
Trading & Charting Workshops
Practical sessions in TradingView, covering charting, screeners and the economic calendar.
Trading Competitions

Socials & Networking
Drinks, meetups and the rest of it. Half the value of a society is the people in it.
